Louis Sells Princesa Marissa and Serenade; Buys Thomson Destiny and Thomson Spirit

Louis Cruise Lines‘ parent, Louis plc, has announced that it has sold two of its oldest ships, the 10,487 GT, 628-berth Princesa Marissa and the 14,173 GT, 507-berth Serenade (pictured above), for a combined price of $8.4 million. Louis Buys Norwegian Dream and Norwegian Majesty

Louis Cruise Lines parent Louis plc has purchased the 50,764 GT, 1,742-berth Norwegian Dream and 40,876 GT, 1,462-berth Norwegian Majesty from Star Cruises for $218 million and $162 million respectively. Both ships are currently chartered by Star to Norwegian Cruise Line, in which Star has a 50% interest, and Louis will charter them back [...]

Opera on Her Way

Seatrade Insider reports that Opera (ex Silja Opera, SuperStar Taurus, Leeward, Sally Albatross) is on her way from Tilbury, London, where she’s been laid-up, to Piraeus where she will undergo ‘rearrangements of some of the public areas’ before entering service for Louis Cruise Lines.
