Rumors: Club Cruise, Fred. Olsen, Saga to Order in Korea?

Cruise Business Review reports that Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines and Saga Cruises are rumored to be considering ordering new ships from South Korean shipyards. The report suggests that Saga may order a 30,000 GT ship, but does not mention a possible size for a Fred. Olsen ship.

Fred. Olsen Cancels Balmoral Inagural

Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines has cancelled the 30 January inaugural voyage of Balmoral.
The former Crown Odyssey/Norwegian Crown has just completed a lengthening and major refit at Blohm & Voss in Hamburg, which increased the 1988-built vessel from 1,052 to 1,340 berths and from 34,242 GT to about 43,000.
