Celebrity Galaxy to Be TUI Cruises’ First Ship

NCL Unveils F3’s New Wave Cabins at Keel Laying

Last Thursday, Norwegian Cruise Line laid the keel of the first of its upcoming F3-class ships at Aker Yards France in St. Nazaire. Louis Buys Norwegian Dream and Norwegian Majesty

Louis Cruise Lines parent Louis plc has purchased the 50,764 GT, 1,742-berth Norwegian Dream and 40,876 GT, 1,462-berth Norwegian Majesty from Star Cruises for $218 million and $162 million respectively. Both ships are currently chartered by Star to Norwegian Cruise Line, in which Star has a 50% interest, and Louis will charter them back [...]

Seatrade: Pride of America Not Sold

Seatrade Insider News reports that Star Cruises has not yet succeeded in re-selling the 77,104 GT, 2,002-berth Pride of Aloha, which will be delivered to it from NCL next month. According to its source, Star is asking $320 million for the ship, valued at $340 million in financial statements, and Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd. [...]
