Silversea Cruises has announced that its new ship under construction will be named Silver Spirit. Being built at Fincantieri’s Ancona shipyard, the 36,000 GT, 540-berth will enter service in autumn 2009.
The ship’s interiors are being designed by Italian architect Giacomo Mortola, unlike previous Silversea ships, which have been designed by Yran & Storbraaten. Silver Spirit will incorporate all the features of Silversea’s current ships, in addition to a new supper club and Asian restaurant, a new lobby bar offering coffee, champagne, wine and spirits and a newly expanded spa.
