UK tour operator Travelscope Holidays Ltd, charterer of Club Cruise’s Van Gogh, was placed under administration on 21 December and has ceased trading. Thanks to the company’s membership in ABTA and ATOL, it has been able to continue with holidays that were already underway then. This includes the Van Gogh cruise due to return to Falmouth on 4 January.
In addition, the Van Gogh world cruise departing on 4 January will be operated uninterrupted by Club Cruise. A statement on the company’s web site says the administrators are evaluating the possibility of having other future holidays booked through Travelscope operated by other firms. Otherwise, passengers will be entitled to a refund from ABTA and/or ATOL.
