CFO.com reports that private equity firm Apollo Management, controlling shareholder of NCL and Oceania Cruises, will acquire Regent Seven Seas Cruises for $1 billion. The article is dated 29 October, but no announcement has yet been made and it wasn’t brought to my attention until today, in an e-mail from a reader.
Rumors to this effect have been floating around for months, but this is the first time I’ve seen it discussed as though it’s a done deal.
