Pullmantur Cruises‘ 2008 advance brochure (click here to download PDF) shows Sovereign (with a photo of Royal Caribbean’s Sovereign of the Seas) as a new member of the fleet. However, it does not contain any itineraries for the new ship or any other information about her apparent impending transfer to the Spanish operator. Royal Caribbean has made no mention of the ship’s departure and she’s currently scheduled through April 2009 along with the rest of the fleet.
It also appears that the company has had a change of heart in re-naming the former Empress of the Seas; she’s listed in the brochure as Empress and the Pullmantur web site has been amended to reflect this as well. Originally her 2008 program was announced under the cumbersome name Moon Empress.
