EasyCruise Life: A Second Ship for EasyCruise

EasyCruise has announced that it is adding a second ship to its fleet. EasyCruise Life, built in 1981 as Lev Tolstoy and more recently named Natasha, Palmira, The Jasmine and Farah, will join the EasyCruise fleet in April 2008 following a major refurbishment.

The 12,711 GT ship will carry over 500 passengers, more than twice the capacity of the 232-passenger, 4,077 GT EasyCruiseOne. The company says it will use the extra size to add additional features and amenities to the new ship.

EasyCruise Life will be the second ship operated by EasyCruise; the riverboat EasyCruise Two is no longer in service following the bankruptcy of the franchisee that operated her for EasyCruise.

EasyCruise Life will operate in the Eastern Mediterranean alongside EasyCruiseOne, which there this year after operating Western Mediterranean and Caribbean itineraries in 2005 and 2006. The new ship will operate 7-night Greek Isles and Turkey itineraries. Passengers may embark or disembark at either Piraeus or Bodrum. Fares start at only £10 per person, per day double occupancy.
