Princess Cruises has announced that it will offer two world cruises in 2009, up from one in 2008 and none in 2007.
Tahitian Princess will depart Ft. Lauderdale for Dover on 14 January, and Royal Princess from Ft. Lauderdale for Civitavecchia on 20 January. Both cruises will have similar 107-day itineraries.
It is interesting that Pacific Princess, which will operate the 2008 world cruise, has not been tapped for 2009. Both she and Tahitian Princess feature a large number of mini-suites that is absent on the otherwise similar Royal Princess (which as a result carries 40 more passengers).
A press release has not yet been added to the Princess web site.
