Sadly, contrary to very strong rumors mentioned in my earlier Bermuda post, Celebrity subsidiary Azamara Cruises will not return to Bermuda in 2008.Instead, both Azamara Quest and Azamara Journey will operate in Europe during the summer 2008 season.
Sad as it is, this is a logical decision; with only two ships the company can’t afford to position either of them outside Europe. Nevertheless, it means that Bermuda is now the exclusive province of the mass-market lines, and it brings the number of ships regularly scheduled to call at Hamilton in 2008 to zero.
The new 2008 Europe itineraries are now available on the Celebrity web site and are open for immediate booking.
